Job summary

Duke Health seeks a Patient Revenue Management Coordinator to support daily clinic operations within the Patient Revenue Management Organization. You will assist with patient check-in/out, collect co-pays, post payments, and prepare encounter forms for billing, ensuring accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

In this onsite role, you will coordinate scheduling, communicate clearly with patients and clinic staff, and help verify patient information to facilitate timely billing and referrals management.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Basic PC and data entry skills necessary.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and telephone etiquette needed.
• Ability to organize, prioritize work and follow department policies.
• Experience verifying patient information and handling payments and records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinic preparation and patient check-in/out.
• Enter and post co-payments and balances on accounts.
• Assist with scheduling tests and procedures.
• Explain billing policies to patients per PRMO guidelines.
• Answer calls and relay messages to clinicians and staff.
