Job summary

Nutex Health, Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Representative (PRN) to support the Emergency Center’s check-in/check-out processes. The role emphasizes accurate patient registration, billing, and maintaining a clean, welcoming front desk environment.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma, at least 2 years in a patient access capacity, and experience with ER registration and scheduling. Strong communication and confidentiality are critical for success in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required and minimum 2 years of experience as a Patient Access Representative in a Hospital, ER, or Clinic.
• Experience with medical registration, admitting and scheduling in an ER setting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to patient confidentiality and safety are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests, collect demographic information, and direct them to the appropriate services.
• Collect payments for co-pays and account balances; maintain a daily financial ledger and reconcile accounts.
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility and manage phone inquiries professionally.
• Interact courteously with patients, families, physicians and team members; uphold Emergency Center values.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Assist management with additional tasks or projects as assigned.
