Baptist Health is hiring a Patient Access Representative II for the Emergency Department at Silverleaf in St. Johns County, Florida. The position is part-time with Saturday-Sunday shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM).

The role requires customer service experience, healthcare exposure, and 1–2 years of insurance experience; hospital registration or patient access experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately and efficiently.
• Utilize multiple systems and interfaces to support patient access functions.

• Provide service excellence to patients and visitors through face-to-face and telephonic encounters.
• Contribute to PAS goals, including collections and other departmental initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations, including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
• Maintain professional relationships with clinical and non-clinical team members.
• Ensure required patient consent forms and compliance documentation are completed accurately.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Patient Access Representative II Job Responsibilities
