Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Patient Access Representative II to join the Patient access team. This full-time role has a Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm schedule and focuses on accurate patient registration, system usage, and cross-training across access areas.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in customer service and healthcare, with knowledge of EMTALA, AHCA, JCAHO and HIPAA. A high school diploma is required, and a strong commitment to service excellence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently.
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces.
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas.
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters.
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.).
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members.
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms.
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
