Job summary

Baptist Silverleaf is hiring a Patient Access Representative II to join our patient access team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a part-time role with Saturday/Sunday shifts from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am.

You will register patients, navigate multiple systems, and be cross-trained to work across patient access areas while maintaining HIPAA privacy and compliance with state and federal regulations. Experience in customer service, healthcare, and insurance is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
• 1-2 years Healthcare experience Preferred
• 1-2 years Insurance experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
