Job summary

Olympic Medical Center on the North Olympic Peninsula is seeking a Patient Access Representative to support emergency room, outpatient and inpatient registration. You will work directly with patients and families, collecting copayments and ensuring accurate patient accounts.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least one year of health care registration or office experience; an Associate’s degree is preferred. This is a 100% FTE, on‑site role with varied shifts and weekend premiums.

Qualifications

• Minimum: high school graduate; associate degree preferred.
• One year health care registration experience preferred.
• One year office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for emergency room, outpatient and inpatient services and admissions.
• Collect copayments and ensure accurate patient account information.
• Verify insurance, obtain authorizations/referrals, and communicate financial responsibility to patients.
