Job summary

Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, WA, is seeking a patient access professional for front-desk registration across clinics in Sequim and Port Angeles. You will greet patients, collect demographics, verify policies, and handle copays while maintaining a smooth patient flow and clear communication.

Strong emphasis on compassionate service, accurate data entry in the EHR, and collaboration with Central Access and Back Office teams to ensure a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred; knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service by employing OMC’s CARE standards. Greets all patients and visitors to our clinics in both Sequim and Port Angeles, with compassion and empathy.
• Collects and accurately enters into EHR patient demographic data.
• Explains OMC/OMP policies and procedures necessary for registration to patients as necessary.
• Collects copays and payments according to OMC finance policies.
• Responsible for maintaining a smooth flow of patients through the registration process and keeps patients in the waiting areas informed of any delays.
• Works closely and collaboratively with Central Access staff and Clinic Back Office staff to make every patient’s experience at OMP a positive one.

Shift Differentials:

• Evening- $3.00/hour
• Night- $5.00/hour
• Weekend- $4.50/hour

Premiums:

• Per Diem- 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits)
• Lead- $3.25/hour
• On-Call- $3.00/hour
• Preceptor- $1.50/hour
• Trainer- $1.50/hour
