Job summary

Mercy Hospital Perry is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients, schedule and register, verify benefits, and secure pre-certification and financial clearance. You will ensure accurate intake of patient data and serve as the first point of contact with compassion and professionalism.

This PRN role covers Days/Evening/Nights with rotating holidays and weekends, requiring excellent communication and multitasking in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years clerical experience preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred.
• Strong communication and telephone etiquette required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient entrance including scheduling and registration.
• Verify benefits, pre-certification, and financial clearance.
• Obtain and populate accurate patient data in records.
• Represent Mercy with high customer service standards.
