Pagosa Springs Medical Center is seeking a Specialist in Patient Access/Registration to greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, and accurately enter data into the Cerner EHR. This on-site, full-time role requires excellent customer service and attention to detail to support efficient patient flow and financial processes.

You will verify eligibility, collect copayments, and explain financial responsibilities while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a patient-centered approach.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current AHA BLS Heart Saver certification.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficient typing, including MS Word/Outlook/Teams.

Mansioni

• Greet and assist patients in a courteous, timely, and professional manner.
• Obtain, document, and verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Enter/update data in the electronic health record with accuracy.
• Verify eligibility and collect and post copayments and patient payments.
• Provide information about financial assistance options and HIPAA requirements.
• Support physician and administrative staff with registration-related tasks.
