Job summary

You will pre-register patients, obtain authorizations, collect estimates of financial responsibility, and ensure complete medical records while delivering courteous customer service. Strong attention to detail and familiarity with EHR systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in healthcare registration or front desk required.
• 0-2 years of experience in customer service preferred.
• Post secondary education or training in medical office administration or healthcare administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and families to provide courteous, timely assistance.
• Regulate schedules based on procedure requirements, physician availability and staffing needs.
• Pre-register patients by obtaining accurate demographic information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Collect patient financial responsibility estimates and co-pays.
