Responsibilities

• Pre-Register / Register Patients.
• Identify correct medical record and visit account.
• Enter/update complete demographic information.
• Enter physician reasons for visit and ICD codes.
• Verify patient’s insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Determine correct insurance plan identification.
• Verify eligibility and benefits per department protocols.
• Screen for service capitation and ABN requirements.
• Document payer data and resolve account errors in queue.
• Secure and verify required authorizations for service.
• Monitor account until authorization is completed.
• Enter physician orders into ADM/ITS where required.
• Identify patient financial responsibility and collect payments.
• Direct patients to financial assistance resources.
