Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking an ED Patient Access Associate for the Doylestown Hospital campus. Responsibilities include registering patients in the Emergency Department, validating demographics and insurance information, and ensuring accurate billing and timely reimbursements.

The role requires a high standard of customer service, data integrity, and patient safety in a 24/7 ER setting. Full-time, evening shift 5pm-1:30am, weekdays with potential on-call.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to work productively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Identify the patient and select the patient’s medical record.
• Complete an accurate registration at the time of service.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits at the time of service.
• Identify and collect patient’s copayment for Emergency services.
• Complete all required forms and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and outpatient registration during off hours.
