Job summary

Tanner is seeking a Patient Access Representative - Registration (Days) to optimize patient intake across multiple locations within the facility or system. You will manage pre-registration, registration, insurance verification, precertification, documentation and POS collections while ensuring accuracy and courteous service.

The role involves handling call center, patient-facing, and bedside tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment, requiring a high level of organization and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Excellent public relations skills and professional demeanor when dealing with the public, including irate or abusive individuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good relations with coworkers, hospital staff, patients and third-party payers.
• Experience in customer service is preferred; healthcare knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate pre-registration, registration, and patient intake processes.
• Verify insurance and precertification; complete documentation.
• Review work output and perform POS collections where applicable.
