Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Wyandotte is seeking a Patient Registration Representative to greet patients, verify insurance, and collect payments, ensuring a smooth first impression and accurate data entry. You will support clinical and non-clinical teams, handle new patient registrations, respond to inquiries, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting, with a 8am–4:30pm shift.

High school diploma or GED required; EPIC experience preferred; strong computer skills and customer service focus

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to meet or exceed customer service standards over the phone, in person, and in writing.
• One year of experience in patient admitting, registration, or insurance eligibility in a hospital or medical office setting.
• EPIC training/experience and familiarity with insurance payor systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients face‑to‑face, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect payments, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Update patient registration and insurance information in our systems.
• Respond to inquiries from callers and patients, advocating on their behalf.
• Perform new patient registration and preregistration tasks.
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment with interruptions.
