Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Word and basic computing.
• Ability to interact professionally with patients and the public.
• Must follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to adapt to changes in processes or policies.
• Experience in a medical setting is a plus.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance basics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients promptly and accurately, collecting all required information.
• Verify insurance coverage and benefits to confirm eligibility.
• Resolve registration or payment issues quickly and efficiently.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Collect upfront payments (co-pays, deductibles, balances) at time of service.
• Explain forms and processes to patients; ensure patient understanding.
• Direct patients to the correct department or location within the facility.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth service delivery and patient flow.
• Maintain up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Meet monthly upfront cash collection goals to support financial objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries professionally.
