Munson Healthcare’s Medical Business Specialist – Employee Health role in Traverse City, MI, is a full-time daytime position focused on accurate patient registration, scheduling, and data entry within the Employee Health team.

You will greet patients, verify insurance information, and coordinate referrals and tests while collaborating with care teams and ensuring compliant vaccination and wellbeing programs for staff.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Two years’ experience in medical practice administration or similar healthcare role.
• Proficient typing, Windows, and experience with multiple computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients and families, ensuring professional interactions.
• Obtain and verify patient and insurance information and enter data into the registration system.
• Schedule patient appointments, including return office visits, referrals, and diagnostic testing/procedures.
• Greet patients professionally in person and over the telephone and respond effectively to patients and their families.
