Job summary

Kingman Healthcare seeks a Patient Access Representative to manage patient registration, insurance verification, and payment collection. This role requires strong customer service skills and accurate data entry within our EHR systems.

The candidate will preregister and discharge patients, verify coverage, obtain authorizations, and maintain daily cash logs. Leadership duties include training staff and performing QA audits to ensure high standards in patient access operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service position and/or office setting.
• Minimum of 1 year of registration or billing experience in a healthcare setting.
• Certification: American Heart Association BLS
• DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required
• Exposure Category II: possible exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.
• Ability to sit/stand for full shift and work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service and contributes to patient experience and satisfaction.
• Registers, preregisters, schedules, reschedules and discharges patients per guidelines.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and obtains pre-authorizations when needed.
• Balances daily cash and maintains cash handling procedures.
• Leads PAR team, trains staff, and conducts QA audits of registrations.
