Job summary

Atlas Healthcare Partners is seeking a full-time Patient Financial Services representative in Phoenix to handle registration, collect payments, and obtain required authorizations.

You will verify eligibility, input accurate demographics in the A/D/T system, and strive to maximize reimbursement while maintaining excellent customer service. The role requires teamwork with the billing department and clinical staff to resolve issues and support financial counseling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of patient financial services and insurance processes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in common office software (Word, Excel, databases).

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-registration and verifies eligibility; obtains authorizations.
• Inputs demographics into the A/D/T system accurately.
• Collects patient payments and meets collection targets.
• Provides financial counseling and assists with Medicaid applications.
• Coordinates with billing, vendors, physicians, and payors to improve AR.
• Communicates with physicians and hospital staff to resolve issues.
• Maintains productivity goals and up-to-date logs.
• Assists with transporting patients or training new staff as needed.
• Follows policy and regulatory/accreditation requirements.
• Delivers excellent customer service and professional conduct daily.
