Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of healthcare experience in a patient access setting preferred.
• Knowledge of patient registration procedures and health insurance payers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient registration and admitting across assigned access areas, including Emergency Department and main registration.
• Gather, verify, and update demographic, insurance, and account information for accurate records.
• Verify insurance eligibility and communicate patient financial responsibility; collect payments when appropriate.
• Schedule, confirm, and revise appointments while supporting provider workflows.
• Scan and manage patient documentation in the electronic health record to support registration, billing, and clinical processes.
• Identify and resolve routine issues; elevate complex situations and provide patient support by phone and other approved channels.
