Jefferson Health Plans is seeking a per diem Patient Access Representative for the United States (Philadelphia area) to support outpatient registration and insurance verification.

You will gather demographic information, collect documentation, verify eligibility via RTE and Phreesia, and ensure accurate records and compliance. Strong customer service and attention to detail are essential.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Outpatient/Admissions: Minimum 3 years of customer service in customer-facing roles.
• Current Jefferson Seamless Access Representatives with at least 1 year of experience meet the requirement.

Mansioni

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Gathers accurate demographic information to identify Jefferson patients who have an existing medical record number or new Jefferson patients who need a medical record number assigned.
• Requests photo ID and insurance cards, scanning copies.
• Records complete and accurate demographic and insurance information; enters orders and confirms medical necessity for outpatient visits.
• Interviews patients to complete the MSPQ questionnaire for Medicare patients.
• Verifies insurance coverage and benefits using RTE, Phreesia or payer websites; ensures referrals and authorizations are on file as needed.
• Completes activities with adherence to protocols and regulatory requirements; achieves individual and team performance metrics.
• Communicates and collects out-of-pocket liability at time of service.
• Rotates to all points of service areas within Patient Access (Outpatient Registration and Emergency Department).
