Qualifications

• Post secondary education or training in medical office administration or healthcare administration preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting including patient registration, medical office scheduling, or front desk/admissions required.
• 0-2 years of experience in a customer service role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately capturing demographic and insurance information from patients in person or by phone.
• Schedule procedures and pre-register patients by obtaining correct demographic data.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations and verifications.
• Collect and record patient financial responsibility estimates as applicable.
• Communicate with physician offices and maintain organized registration documentation.
