Job summary

ProMedica's Monroe Regional Hospital is seeking a Patient Registration Specialist to be the first point of contact for patients pre-registering or arriving for medical services. The role involves verifying insurance, posting payments, securing registration, and handling billing inquiries with a strong emphasis on HIPAA compliance.

You will work nights, 40 hours per week, within the Patient Registration Admitting Office, supporting staff and contributing to quality assurance and patient flow.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: experience with health insurance plans and medical terminology.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in medical registration or related medical office roles.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance information for patients.
• Post payments and secure registration details.
• Assist patients, visitors, or staff with questions.
• Process billing information and maintain accurate records.
