Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Patient Access/Registration professional to begin the Revenue Cycle process by collecting accurate demographic and financial information to create clean claims for timely reimbursement. You will support patients, families, and OhioHealth associates with exceptional customer service across in-person, phone, and virtual encounters.

Responsibilities include accurate patient identification in the EMR, information entry, insurance verification, and securing authorizations.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• One to two years precious experience in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient in EMR system.
• Gathers and enters demographic and financial information via multiple channels.
• Provides exceptional customer service during encounters with patients and families.
• Performs registration functions in the Patient Access areas.
• Uses multi-line phone system to transfer calls and provide information.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and tracks authorizations.
