Job summary

Optum, in partnership with Allina Health, is seeking a Part Time Patient Access Representative Associate in Minneapolis. You will greet patients, collect demographic and insurance data, check in, and guide them to their appointments.

The role includes confirming insurance eligibility and assisting with financial aid applications as needed. Compensation includes a $750 sign-on bonus for external applicants, and pay ranges from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on hours and experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of customer service experience in healthcare or related settings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work daytime hours, Monday–Friday during training and follow a fixed schedule.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients in person and collects demographic and insurance information.
• Checks in and interviews patients to complete paperwork and directs them to their appointment.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and explains benefits to patients.
• Assists with scheduling add-on appointments and financial assistance processes.
• Documents issues in the electronic medical record and communicates with departments.
