Job summary

Optum, in partnership with Allina Health, seeks a Part Time Patient Access Representative Associate to greet patients, collect demographics and insurance data, and guide them to appointments. This 20-hour-per-week role includes afternoon/evening shifts, based in Fridley, MN.

The position offers a $750 sign-on bonus for external applicants, with hourly pay $16–$29 and training for three weeks. Epic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital setting.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work an average of 20 hours/week, in 1-2 shifts per week and every other Saturday & Sunday, from 2:30pm - 11:00pm.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients in person and collect demographic/insurance information.
• Check in and interview patients to complete necessary paperwork and direct to appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with financial aspects as needed.
• Enter data into electronic medical record and resolve registration issues.
