Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking a Clerical/Administrative registration professional for the ED & FRACTURE CLINIC REGIST. You will greet patients, collect demographics and insurance data, schedule/admit or pre-register, and obtain necessary authorizations.

The role requires careful data entry, HIPAA awareness, and effective communication in English; Spanish fluency is strongly preferred. Basic MS Office skills are expected, with a focus on accurate documentation and patient service.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience.
• Fluent in Spanish strongly preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• One year of experience working with medical terminology, procedures, diagnosis codes, and insurance strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families in person or on the telephone and handles scheduling, admissions, or registrations.
• Obtains demographic, payer, financial, and medical information and necessary identification.
• Verifies third party payer information and obtains authorizations as required.
• Communicates with patients, families, and departments to resolve issues and coordinate services.
• Maintains accuracy in the registration and collection of payments, records, and consents.
