Job summary

Christ Community Health Services in Memphis is seeking a Registration Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients, handling check-in/check-out, registration, scheduling, and insurance verification. The role ensures accurate demographic and financial data in the EHR while supporting clinic flow and patient privacy.

You will collect payments, help patients access sliding-fee programs, and assist care teams with referrals.

Qualifications

• Clerical experience in medical or healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered service to diverse populations.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient privacy policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check in/out in a courteous manner.
• Register patients and update demographic/insurance information in EHR.
• Verify insurance coverage and sliding fee eligibility per HRSA guidelines.
• Collect copayments and reconcile cash at end of day.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments and referrals as directed.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and documentation.
