Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in healthcare or related clerical, accounting, or customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education may be considered in lieu of experience.
• CPAR or CHAA certification preferred and related system experience mentioned in the ad.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, clinical staff and insurance companies to obtain information and insurance verification.
• Interviews patients and families to obtain complete demographic and financial information and completes required forms.
• Enters data into registration and billing systems to minimize patient wait times.
• Verifies insurance coverage and authorizations when applicable.
• Explains financial requirements to patients and collects deposits or deductibles as needed.
• Supports patient accounting by ensuring accurate data for clean claims and timely payments.
