Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium is seeking a Patient Registration Specialist in Juneau, AK to obtain and verify patient information during registration and support service delivery. You will manage scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communications within the EHR system to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include reviewing insurance eligibility, collecting payments, scanning documents, and enrolling patients in the MySEARHC portal while maintaining high data

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify demographic information accurately.
• Verify insurance eligibility and pre-authorization requirements for upcoming appointments.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage multiple worklists.
• Collect payments (co-pays or upfront) and document in billing systems.
• Scan and file registration documents into the EHR.
• Coordinate patient portal enrollment and assist with MySEARHC access.
• Communicate with patients, care teams, and peers via multiple channels.
• Maintain compliance with registration standards and annual competencies.
• Refer uninsured patients to Financial Counselor and Health Benefits teams as needed.
• Work as part of a team and participate in departmental improvement efforts.
