The Registrar collaborates across teams, verifies eligibility, collects co-pays, and ensures accurate documentation for seamless patient flow and timely front-desk support.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education or training in medical office administration or healthcare administration preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in healthcare including patient registration or front desk.
• 0-2 years of experience in customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients and families to address questions with courteous, timely assistance.
• Regulates schedules based on procedure requirements, physician availability, and staffing needs.
• Pre-registers scheduled patients by obtaining accurate demographic information.
• Verifies insurance eligibility using designated applications and secures necessary authorizations.
• Collects and records patient financial responsibility estimates as applicable.
• Compiles and organizes registration documentation to ensure completion of patient records.
• Answers and returns phone calls with professionalism and courtesy.
