Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Cambridge, MN is seeking a Patient Access Representative Associate to greet patients, collect demographics and insurance details, and guide them through the registration process in the electronic medical record system.

The role requires 6+ months of customer service experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office, with on-site hours Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. A $1500 sign-on bonus is available for external applicants.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital setting.
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday - 9:30 am - 6:00 pm.
• Must be 18 years of age OR older.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patient in person.
• Collects demographic and insurance information.
• Checks in and interviews patients to complete appropriate paperwork.
• Directs patient to their appointment or procedure.
• May assist in scheduling add-on appointments.
• Documents issues and resolutions in the electronic medical record.
• Resolve claim issues or registration errors on patient accounts.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits information for payers.
