Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and/or their representatives to collect required data and completes the registration.
• Greets patients and directs them as needed.
• Schedules and preschedules patient appointments.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and obtains precertifications/authorizations as applicable.
• Collects co-payments and other payments; explains cost estimates as needed.
• Ensures data accuracy and regulatory compliance for registrations.
• Communicates with payers, physician offices and other departments.
