Advocate Health is seeking an Admitting Clerk in Illinois to create the patient record foundation, register patients, and collect insurance information. You will discuss financial responsibilities and assist patients with appointments, ensuring privacy and accurate data across the EHR.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and related regulations.

Formación

• High School diploma required.
• No prior experience needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy.

Responsabilidades

• Create initial electronic health record foundational for patient care and billing.
• Check in/register patients; collect demographic, insurance, and co-pay info.
• Explain insurance basics and identify financial responsibilities with patients.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments and patient communications.
• Provide welcoming service; assist with transportation and interpreter needs.
• Monitor electronic health record work queues per department process.
