Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Patient Access Registrar to join the enterprise revenue cycle. This full-time role operates 40 hours per week with a 3 PM to 11:30 PM schedule and every-other-weekend rotation.

You will register patients, collect co-pays, verify insurance, and explain financial responsibilities. The position requires a High School Diploma plus 2 years in patient access or related experience, strong data-entry and math skills, and proficient use of electronic

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 2 years of experience in either Patient Access or related experience (billing office, etc.).
• Intermediate math skills required; classroom or work experience.

Responsabilités

• Greet and acknowledge patients and family in a welcoming, prompt manner (AIDET).
• Identify insurance coverage, benefits, out-of-pocket costs, and collect co-insurance/co-pays.
• Verify eligibility using electronic systems and discuss findings with patient; resolve coverage issues.
• Screen uninsured patients for urgent status and refer for financial counseling.
• Pre-registers and registers patients; explain documents to patients and obtain signatures.
• Manage registrations and calls to ensure accurate patient demographics and insurance data.
