Job summary

Trinity Health in Livingston, MI, is seeking a Patient Services Representative in Registration to handle patient check-in, insurance verification, and demographic updates. The role requires accurate data entry, adherence to HIPAA, and cash handling during daily reconciliations.

The position is full-time with day shifts and a benefits package. Responsibilities include obtaining authorizations, balancing daily transactions, and ensuring smooth patient flow from check-in to scheduling of follow-up

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a physician office setting preferred.
• Knowledge of third-party payers and managed care guidelines preferred.
• Experience with a computerized patient management system preferred.
• Experience with online third-party payor systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in for a variety of appointment types following proper guidelines.
• Scan insurance/photo ID and update annual Acknowledgement Form.
• Maintain proper patient demographics in the EPR/EPM.
• Maintain proper information on insurance payer lists.
• Know when an insurance authorization is needed and where to obtain it.
• Schedule/reschedule appointments and gather necessary information.
