Job summary

Trinity Health MI is seeking a Part-time Registration Specialist I to support patient access and insurance verification at our Shelby location. The role involves pre-registration, scheduling, and collecting patient payments within a diverse hospital environment.

Requirements include at least 1 year of customer service experience, HS diploma, and completion of HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within the first year. Training includes two weeks of EPIC sessions, Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within one year of hire.
• Knowledge of medical terminology beneficial.
• Insurance verification and ability to explain benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused customer service.
• Perform outpatient/inpatient registration and insurance verification.
• Collect patient financial liability payments and ensure financial requirements are met.
• Provide general information to hospital users, patients, families and physician offices.
