Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is hiring a Patient Access Specialist-Registration to accurately process patient registrations, collect required data, and protect patient privacy. You will work closely with billing, coding, and other registration staff to ensure accuracy and smooth patient flow.

The role requires strong data entry skills, familiarity with EMR systems (EPIC preferred) and MS Office, and a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office, EMR systems (EPIC preferred), and multi-line phone system.
• Successful completion of data entry standard administered by CRMC Human Resources Staff.
• High School diploma or GED is preferred.

A Day in the Life of a Patient Access - Registration (PAS)

The Patient Access Specialist-Registration role primarily involves processing patient registrations accurately and efficiently, ensuring all pertinent data is collected at the point of entry. This position requires constant engagement with patients and their representatives, handling sensitive information with discretion and adhering to privacy protocols. Challenges include navigating high-stress situations and managing complex data under tight deadlines. The specialist collaborates closely with billing, coding, and other registration staff to enhance registration accuracy and address discrepancies. A typical day involves multitasking between direct patient interactions, document management, and intra-departmental communication, all aimed at maximizing both operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
