Job summary

Join Cuyuna Regional Medical Center's Breezy Point Clinic as a Patient Access Specialist-Scheduling. You will manage patient schedules to align with provider availability and patient needs, verify insurance, and maintain EMR accuracy.

In this role, you will communicate with patients by phone, deliver excellent service, and collaborate with clinicians and staff to ensure seamless care continuity. Prior Patient Access experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Office, EMR systems (EPIC preferred), and multi-line phone system.
Successful completion of data entry standard administered by Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Human Resources Staff
High School diploma or GED
Previous Patient Access experience

Responsibilities

Manage patient schedules and ensure accurate and timely appointments aligned with provider availability.
Verify insurance coverage and maintain detailed electronic medical records.
Provide exemplary customer service over the phone and handle scheduling inquiries.
Collaborate with healthcare providers, staff, and external agencies to ensure seamless care continuity.
Perform clerical support functions as needed.

In the role of Patient Access Specialist-Scheduling, you will be integral in managing patient schedules, ensuring accurate and timely appointments aligned with provider availability and patient needs. Your responsibilities encompass handling sensitive information with discretion, maintaining detailed electronic medical records, and verifying insurance coverage. Daily tasks involve direct communication with patients, providing exemplary customer service over the phone, and addressing any scheduling conflicts or inquiries efficiently. Collaboration with healthcare providers, staff, and external agencies is crucial to facilitate seamless care continuity and handle all clerical support functions proficiently.
