Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a part-time Registrar to gather and enter patient demographic information into the hospital information system, verify benefits, collect co-pays and deposits, and provide first-contact customer service.

You will work 1st Shift (United States of America) on-site, every other Monday and Friday, with 8 total hours per schedule and orientation prior to starting. Epic system experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service in a professional setting preferred.
• Medical office or admittance experience preferred.
• Positive demeanor with strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to handle potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks.
• Basic typing and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter demographic, financial, insurance and clinical information into computer system; verifies completeness and accuracy of data.
• Obtain signatures on required documents for consent, medical necessity, and regulatory documentation; process paperwork.
• Identify, collect and process co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and deposits; liaison with billing as needed.
• Provide referrals and payment options for financial assistance as required.
• Support office operations including scheduling and phone coverage.
