Job summary

Virtua Health in Camden, NJ seeks a part-time Registrar to gather and register patient demographics, verify benefits, and collect co-pays and deposits. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring accuracy and compliance in the hospital information system.

The role requires one year of customer service experience, basic typing, and strong communication skills. Epic system experience is highly preferred, with a schedule that includes evenings and weekends as shown in the listing.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service in a professional setting (excludes retail/food service) preferred.
• Medical office or admittance experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive demeanor, have both strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to handle potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks.
• Must have basic typing, computer and/or word processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and enter patient demographic, financial, insurance, and clinical data.
• Obtain signatures for consent and regulatory documentation; process paperwork.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and deposits; assist billing as needed.
• Identify referrals and payment options for financial assistance.
• Support office tasks: telephones, scheduling, typing, filing, etc.
