Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ seeks a full-time Registrar to gather and enter patient demographics, verify benefits, and obtain authorizations. You will collect co-pays and deposits, ensuring accurate registrations and regulatory compliance.

The role serves as the first point of contact, delivering excellent customer service in a busy hospital environment. Experience in a medical office or admittance is preferred; a high school diploma is required, and Epic system experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service in a professional setting preferred.
• Medical office or admittance experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate a positive demeanor and strong communication skills.
• Able to handle potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks.
• Basic typing, computer and/or word processing skills.

Responsabilités

• Gathers and enters patient demographic information into the hospital information system.
• Verifies benefits, obtains required authorization.
• Obtains co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and deposit amounts.
• Performs accurate and thorough registrations.
• Acts as first contact representative of Virtua by providing excellent customer service.
