Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Patient Access Registrar to gather patient demographics, verify benefits, obtain authorizations, and collect co-pays. The role involves registering patients accurately, ensuring compliance, and serving as the first point of contact for Virtua with excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include data entry, obtaining signatures, handling payments, and assisting with scheduling and front-office tasks.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service in a professional setting (excludes retail/food service).
• Positive demeanor with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks.
• Basic typing, computer and/or word processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and enter patient demographics and insurance information into hospital system.
• Obtain signatures on required documents and process paperwork for consent and regulatory compliance.
• Collect and process co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and deposits; assist with billing issue resolution.
• Identify referrals and payment options for financial assistance to patients.
• Provide additional front-office support including telephones, scheduling, and filing.
