Job summary

You are the first contact for most CRMC patients, providing essential customer and financial services, including pre-registration, billing verification, and financial counseling.

The role emphasizes accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork. You will support training and may assist with specials like payer authorization and service coordination as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• RCCP 1 or CHAA certification within 12 months.
• Associates degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years patient registration experience or ER/medical office experience.
• Knowledge of financial and insurance information.
• Customer service principles for healthcare settings.
• Accurate data entry; proficient with Windows and multiple software applications.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for hospital services promptly and efficiently.
• Collect patient information and demographics accurately.
• Verify insurance and coordinate benefits with payer sources.
• Manage payments at point of service and post payments.
• Provide financial clearance estimates and set up payment plans.
• Assist with training of new staff and share knowledge with teammates.
• Ensure confidentiality per HIPAA and support interdepartmental communication.
