Job summary

Carrollton Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is seeking a part-time Patient Access Representative to join our admissions team. The role involves interviewing patients, collecting demographics and financial information, and verifying insurance to support registration and billing.

The successful candidate will register patients across locations, navigate patient flow, and identify opportunities to improve revenue cycle efficiency while enhancing the patient experience.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or higher required.
• Part-time availability required.
• Experience in patient intake or registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents patient interviews to obtain demographic and financial data for registration, insurance verification, pre-certification, and billing.
• Registers patients at multiple locations and/or within multiple areas of the department.
• Understands patient flow processes in each area.
• Identifies opportunities to improve revenue cycle functions and patient experience.
• Verifies patient eligibility for insurance coverage and appropriate benefits.
• Calculates and collects patient liability dues per policy.
