Job summary

CRMC is seeking a Registrar I to manage patient registration in the Patient Access Department. You will be the first point of contact, handling pre-registration, payer authorization, registrations, and financial counseling, while delivering excellent customer service.

You will verify benefits, manage payments at point of service, and assist with financial clearance. Strong data-entry and HIPAA knowledge are essential as you support multiple hospital services.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a retail setting or other healthcare/medical office environment.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and processes and evaluating customer satisfaction.
• Accurate data entry skills and ability to use basic computer hardware; experience with Windows and multiple software applications.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients for hospital services and maintains efficient wait times per scorecard.
• Verifies insurance benefits and handles payments at point of service.
• Explains financial responsibility and arranges payment plans with patients when needed.
• Maintains patient records and ensures confidentiality per HIPAA and policy.
• Provides courteous service and resolves stakeholder inquiries to strengthen relationships.
