Virtua Medical Group, PA, is seeking a Registrar to gather and enter patient demographic information into the hospital information system, verify benefits and obtain authorizations, and collect copays, deductibles, co-insurance, and deposits. You will perform accurate registrations and act as the first contact with excellent customer service.

The role requires 1 year of customer service experience, strong communication, and the ability to handle stressful situations while managing multiple

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service in a professional setting preferred (excludes retail/food service).
• Must demonstrate a positive demeanor and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle potentially stressful situations and manage multiple tasks.
• Basic typing/computer/word processing skills.

Responsabilités

• Obtains copies of patient insurance cards and identifications and enters demographic, financial, insurance and clinical information into the system; verifies completeness and accuracy.
• Obtains signatures on required documents for consent, medical necessity, and regulatory paperwork.
• Collects and processes co-pays, deductibles, coinsurance and deposits; may liaise with billing stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Identifies and provides referrals and payment options for financial assistance.
• Provides additional office support including telephone handling, scheduling, typing, and filing.
