The role requires a high school diploma, healthcare front desk experience, knowledge of insurance, and strong data entry with MS Office; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of healthcare registration, scheduling or patient accounts experience.
• Knowledge of health insurance, medical terminology and anatomy.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-patient, out-patient, emergency room, immediate care and same day surgery pre-registrations and registrations.
• Enter and verify demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data and collect signatures.
• Screen for third-party eligibility and code for medical necessity.
• Explain revenue cycle processes to patients and offer payment options.
