Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Patient Support Assistant to join our front-end registration team. You will manage the registration work queue, verify patient demographics and insurance information, and update records to ensure accurate billing.

The role requires at least one year in a medical office and a high school diploma; on-the-job training is provided. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no travel.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One year of work experience required; healthcare office preferred.
• On-the-job training is provided for those without prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the registration work queue.
• Review patient demographics and insurance information for accuracy.
• Update registration information to process charges.
• Verify insurance and self-pay designations.
• Answer phones and direct inquiries to appropriate areas.
• Provide administrative support for the EM physician practice.
• Transcribe and send letters to patients regarding lab results and follow-ups.
