Job summary

Endeavor Health in Naperville is seeking a Patient Service Representative for a part-time, 24-hour weekly schedule. The role includes pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, cash collection, and patient data entry with attention to accuracy.

You will verify demographics and insurance, screen for eligibility, explain payment options to patients, and support revenue-cycle processes across multiple locations, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Required.
• Associates Degree Business Administration/Management Preferred.
• 2 Years of registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections or customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
• Manual dexterity to operate various office machines.
• Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology and anatomy.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bilingual skills.
• A valid driver’s license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off site location.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-patient, out-patient, emergency room and same day surgery patient pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, cash collection and medical information systems.
• Collect, analyze and record demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data from multiple sources; verify third-party eligibility and enter medical necessity coding to ensure accurate payment.
• Interact with patients to explain hospital revenue cycle expectations and help resolve personal liabilities through various payment options.
