Capital Health in New Jersey seeks a Patient Access Rep I to register patients accurately and independently, ensuring database integrity and financial accuracy for front-end processes. The role liaises with physician offices to support referrals and reimbursement while upholding patient satisfaction.

The position requires a high school diploma, basic medical terminology knowledge, and strong communication skills. 40-hour work weeks and comprehensive benefits are included.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months in Patient Access Rep I role at Capital Health or one year customer service experience with medical terminology.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills; familiar with medical terminology; knowledge of insurance plans.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Follows payor requirements and verification of benefits.

Responsabilidades

• Identify participating Capital Health insurance plans and non-participating plans.
• Demonstrates service excellence by professionally assisting patients with respect in a friendly manner.
• Register patients quickly and accurately, collecting demographics, physician info, insurance data, and codes.
• Verify insurance and obtain authorization if not done prior to service; scan forms into EMR.
• Collaborate with departments for referrals and precertifications to secure reimbursement.
• Follow department procedures and regulatory guidelines for payor requirements.
